Alicante: It is a city and municipality in Spain, the capital of the eponymous province, in the Valencian Community. A port city, it is located on the Mediterranean coast. With 349,282 inhabitants, it is the second most populous municipality in the autonomous community and the tenth in the country.

Its most important festivals are the Hogueras de San Juan, celebrated from June 19 to 24 and declared of International Tourist Interest. Notable museums include the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Museum The Ocean Race.
